A message from the co-chair
As Co-Chairs of the GANSID International Congress 2026, we are honored to welcome the global community to Hyderabad, India, from October 23–25, 2026, for what promises to be a landmark gathering in the field of sickle cell disease and other inherited blood disorders. This Congress represents more than a scientific meeting—it is a strategic platform for advancing equity, accelerating innovation, and strengthening health systems, especially in regions where the burden of hemoglobinopathies remains significant. Hosting the Congress in India reflects both the epidemiological importance of the region and the growing momentum toward national and global action.
Our vision for Congress 2026 is centered on three pillars:
1.
Scientific Excellence
We will showcase cutting-edge research across clinical care, implementation science, novel therapeutics, gene and cell therapies, diagnostics, and health systems innovation. The program will feature global experts alongside emerging investigators, ensuring a dynamic exchange of knowledge.
2.
Equity and Access
We are committed to addressing disparities in diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care. Special focus will be placed on scalable care models aligned with WHO Universal Health Coverage frameworks.
3.
Collaboration and Impact
The Congress will convene clinicians, researchers, policymakers, public health leaders, patient advocates, and industry innovators to foster meaningful partnerships and measurable outcomes beyond the event itself. We particularly look forward to strengthening South–South and North–South collaboration, reinforcing India’s leadership in the region, and advancing global commitments on inherited blood disorders.
We warmly invite you to join us in shaping the future of care—transforming knowledge into action and policy into measurable impact. We look forward to welcoming you to Hyderabad.
With anticipation and commitment,
Congress Co-Chairs

Our story

How DevSummit all came to life

  • DevSummit started as a small internal meetup for engineers who wanted real learning instead of trade-show pitches.

  • That one-day community event has grown into a three-day summit with hundreds of participants from across the region.

  • The mission stayed the same: a conference built by practitioners, for practitioners, from day one.
